KEVIN GENKI TSAI

Kevin is a 25 year old Taiwanese / Japanese - American filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. Growing up in Rowland Heights, CA throughout the early 2000's, and attending film school in Syracuse, NY; Kevin's filmography is influenced by his real life experiences, multiculturalism, and generational lines.

Kevin is known for his abilities to develop narrative stories from script to final export, lead and direct a team no matter the size or budget, and capture images that take a life of their own.

 

Kevin approaches directing from an editor's perspective, while approaching editing and coloring from a director's perspective. His philosophy in filmmaking is rooted in realism, nuanced characters, and atmosphere.

Kevin currently works full time as a director and post-production supervisor at BASEWOOD in DTLA.
